Public Employment Service Office

peso

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is a non-fee charging multi-employment service facility or entity established in local government units (LGUs) in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) pursuant to R.A. No. 8759 or the PESO Act of 1999 as amended by R.A. No. 10691. It is mandated to ensure prompt delivery of employment facilitation services and provide timely and relevant information on labor and DOLE programs.

In recognition of the importance of having an employment facilitation office that caters to the employment-related needs of the Pangasinenses, the office was created by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan under Resolution No. 136, Series of 1992 and named as Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO). However, to provide ease and clarity on the part of agencies, job seekers, and other clients concerned, the Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO) was renamed to Pangasinan Public Employment Service Office (Pangasinan PESO) in conformation to R.A. No. 8759 or the PESO Act of 1999 as amended by R.A. No. 10691. Currently, Pangasinan PESO continues to perform its mandate and consistently strives to excel in its other employment and manpower development initiatives.

With that, Pangasinan PESO firmly upholds the following:

By 2031, Pangasinan is the premier province in technology-driven employment services and the prime mover in manpower development.
