Ms. Cheryll A. Escaño is a Registered Social Worker. She finished her bachelor’s degree in social work at Saint Louis University in Baguio City in 2003 and earned her master’s degree at the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan City in 2008. She has also acquired units for Doctor of Philosophy in Development Administration at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University in La Union.

Ms. Escaño spent a decade in the academe as Assistant Professor III at Urdaneta City University, where she was also the Program Head and the College Dean of the Social Work Department. Ms. Escaño then joined the Pangasinan State University as Associate Professor II.

Her career in public service extends beyond government service. She joined volunteer programs, such as the National Association of Social Work Education Inc. and UNICEF in the case management of children victims of Typhoon Yolanda.

She is happily married to Mr. Mark Cyril S. Escaño and they are blessed with two children, Marc Leonard and Mariella Luane.
