LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—The provincial board has extended its congratulations and best wishes to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) on the occasion of its 105th founding anniversary.
The commendation was made possible thru Provincial Resolution No. 22-2019 which was approved during the regular session on July 15. Said resolution was authored by Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario and co-authored by all members of the august body.
INC was founded on July 27, 1914 by the late Executive Minister Felix Y. Manalo in Rizal Province specifically at Barrio Tipas, Taguig town. It was first registered with the Philippine government in July 1914 and since then it became a solid religious foundation not only in the country but also all over the world as more congregations in different countries of various ethnic groups and nationalities were formed.
“The Iglesia Ni Cristo has remained steadfast in its mission not only spiritually but also socially- relevant humanity programs benefitting not only its members but also multitudes of people in need, from calamity victims to indigents and indigenous people of the Pangasinan society,” the resolution stated.
It further noted that the “INC is one shining example of a good church that promotes unity and amity between and among the people of Pangasinan and initiates programs that upholds its Christian values in its various fields of endeavor.” (Ruby R. Bernardino / Photos by JZP & MVS)
