The Pangasinan Provincial Board in its regular physical session on October 4, approved Provincial Resolution No. 2812-2021 entitled, “Adopting the Local Youth Development Plan of the Province of Pangasinan for Calendar Years 2019-2021.”
Authored by Sangguniang Panlalawigan Jerome Vic O. Espino, the resolution stated that “the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) represents the three-year planning and budgeting document of the Province which embodies development programs, projects and activities of the Province geared towards promoting the welfare of young people in Pangasinan.”
As such, the resolution noted that the LYDP is designed to address present major issues involving the youth in the province which include, among others, strategies on health, education, economic empowerment, social inclusion and equity, peace-building and security, governance, active citizenship, environment and global mobility.
“The Local Youth Development Plan shall serve as the roadmap of the Province in strengthening the youth participation on such programs, projects and activities to enable them become more responsible and productive people of Pangasinan,” the resolution disclosed.
