The Provincial Government of Pangasinan under the stewardship of Governor Amado I. Espino III went full throttle for the National COVID-19 Vaccination in different areas in the province from November 29 to December 1.

With the goal to achieve herd immunity in the whole country, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed the Proclamation No. 1253 or the Declaring 29 November to 01 December 2021 as Bayanihan, Bakunahan National COVID-19 Vaccination Days.

The Provincial Government of Pangasinan through the Provincial Health Office extended its service to different areas in Pangasinan to accommodate more Pangasinenses including: Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center in Lingayen; Barangay Tawin Tawin, Brgy. Lucap and Brgy. Poblacion in Alaminos City; Brgy. Sawat and Brgy. Dr. De Guzman said that through the intensified efforts of the Provincial Government, together with different partner agencies and private sectors, Pangasinan draws nearer to achieve herd immunity in the province.

As of the December 3 report of the PHO, Pangasinan reached 69% or 1,519,578 vaccinated individuals for first dose, while 37.9% or 833,826 individuals have been fully-vaccinated among the total eligible population in Pangasinan.

On behalf of Governor Espino, Dr. De Guzman also extended her gratitude towards the partners of the Provincial Government for the vaccination rollout including private enterprises, men and women in uniform, and hospitals which provided logistic support.

The Provincial Health Officer assured that the Provincial Government of Pangasinan will continue its vaccination drive to further assist other local government units in the province.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Government, through the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force, is also gearing up for proactive response against the threat of the new COVID-19 variant – Omicron that has already affected other countries. /PJES
