PSC TURNS OVER ASSORTED TRAINING BALLS TO LGU-PANGASINAN. The Philippine Sports Commission through Regional Coordinator Finnela Sim (2nd from right) turns over assorted training balls to the Pangasinan Provincial Government on March 4 at the Capitol Resort Hotel. Provincial Administrator Nimrod S. Camba (2nd from left) receives the training balls on behalf of Governor Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III. Joining Atty.Camba were Pangasinan Sports Development and Management Council (PSMDC) Deputy Executive Officer Marlon Domalanta (right) and Provincial Information Officer Orpheus M. Velasco (left).
The third biggest province in the Philippines is home to rich and fine salt beds from which its name is derived. The vernacular “panag-asin-an” or Pangasinan means “where salt is made.” The province is known for its abundant natural resources and bountiful harvests both from its vast landscape and seemingly endless seas, as well as various traditional industries and colorful culture and history.
