Prov’l Gov’t holds Veterinary Medical Mission in Bolinao and Sison

The Provincial Government of Pangasinan through the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPVet) conducted its Veterinary Medical Mission in Corcodia, Bolinao and Cauringan, Sison held on January 14 and 20, respectively.

According to Assistant Provincial Veterinarian Jovito Tabarejos, the veterinary medical mission is a regular program of OPVet that aims to protect the health of animals as well as the welfare of humans.

The Provincial Government spearheaded by Governor Amado ‘Pogi’ I. Espino III seeks to bring closer to the communities the free veterinary services to maintain the safety of the pets in the midst of pandemic.

On the first vet mission this 2022 in Bolinao, 423 dogs and cats were vaccinated with anti-rabies, 42 were castrated and spayed, 360 were dewormed, and 64 pets were vitamins administered.

Meanwhile, 167 dogs and cats were vaccinated, 148 vitamins were administered, 116 underwent deworming and 54 animals were neutered in Sison.

Dr. Tabarejos als urged the pet owners to be a responsible pet-parents.

Aside from the free veterinary services, the provincial government also gives dog food, disinfectant powder, sprayer and sweatshirt as freebies.
