Prov’l Gov’t grants consultants, JOs, contract of service employees P5,000 financial assistance

The provincial government of Pangasinan led by Governor Amado I. Espino III grants P5,000 financial assistance to Capitol employees of contractual (Job Order) appointments, and consultants.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), during its physical session held at Pangasinan Training and Development Center (PTDC) II on September 7, approved Provincial Resolution No. 1451-2020, authorizing the grant of the financial assistance.

The resolution states, “The Provincial Government and its Officials find it meritorious to reward also, as a token of their dedicated service, all job order employees/contract of service employees/consultants for their unprecedented efforts and assistance in making Pangasinan always No. 1 in terms of public and civil service,”

The Province of Pangasinan has already approved the grant of CY 2019 Performance Based Bonus to all qualified officers and employees of the provincial government pursuant to DILG-BDM Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2019-01 dated November 21, 2019, except for consultants/job orders/contract of service employees.

The provincial government of Pangasinan is among the seven provinces in the country out of 81 that has been qualified to receive 2019 Local Government Unit (LGU) Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) after completing the requirements.

Earlier, Human Resource Management and Development Officer Janette Asis disclosed that among the standards which qualified Pangasinan to receive the incentive is the Seal of Good and Local Governance (SGLG) award of the province.

Pangasinan was also able to submit the certificate of compliance for RA 11032 (Anti-Red Tape Acct) and the province has also complied with Civil Service Commission’s requirement on strategic management system. Furthermore, Pangasinan has also completed the requirement of the Commission on Audit.

The resolution also noted that the financial assistance of the provincial government aims to help the Capitol employees in shouldering their expenses during these lean months and period of public health crisis.

The said resolution was authored by Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Angel M. Baniqued Jr. and co-authored by all members of the Pangasinan provincial board.
