May 4, 2021

The Provincial Government of Pangasinan featured locally-made products and delicacies during the staging of Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan (PYPP) in San Quintin on May 3-4 beside the Sangguniang Bayan Building.

A part of Abig Pangasinan, Governor Amado I. Espino III’s flagship recovery program, the PYPP focuses on helping local entrepreneurs, particularly micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) recover from the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in their livelihood.

Through the PYPP, local products and delicacies are bought by the Provincial Government and are sold at their cost-selling or wholesale price.

PYPP also promotes Tatak Pangasinan products across the province through showcasing these products in the rolling store.

Among the Pangasinan-made products featured at the rolling store are: longganisa, tapa, tocino and other processed and frozen goods; dried fish products such as daing; condiments like vinegar, bagoong, patis, and alamang; native snacks such as puto; chips, crackers, chicharon and other preserved delicacies.

Townsfolk of San Quintin commended the program which introduces different Pangasinan-made product in their town.

“Maganda itong programa ni Governor Amado Espino III dahil lahat ng produkto ng Pangasinan ay maipapakilala sa lahat. Maganda po ang layunin ng pagpapatakbo niya sa probinsya,” said Ms. Emilita Mina, one of the customers who patronized the products.

One customer, Mr. Evangeline Maternal, who hails from Vigan, Ilocos Sur and is currently staying in the town also praised the project.

“I see the improvement in Pangasinan. Governor Espino is good kaya maganda ang Pangasinan,” said Ms. Maternal.
