The Provincial Government of Pangasinan, on instruction of Governor Amado I. Espino III, has recently conducted a series of misting cannon operation to disinfect the environment where suspected COVID-19 subjects were reported.
The misting cannon operations jointly conducted by personnel from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) were implemented in some determined areas in Alaminos, and Infanta.
The responders from PDRRMO and PEO were assisted by some representatives from the local government units.
Misting was also conducted recently in Tebag, Sta. Barbara to sanitize the farmers pavillion located at the Provincial Agriculture Office, which is converted into a half-way house where recovered Patients Unders Investigation (PUI) will complete their 14-day quarantine.
Last April 4, misting was conducted in Infanta, particularly at the back of the town hall and its nearby vicinity including the public market compound. Infanta has one confirmed COVID-19 case now treated in a hospital.
In the same day, misting operation was conducted in Alaminos City to disinfect the residence of a reported COVID-19 case in barangay Telbang. All thoroughfares in the area were also sanitized.
As a safety protocol, all responders wore the appropriate personal protective equipment.
