The Provincial Government of Pangasinan under the leadership of Governor Amado I. Espino III conducted Veterinary Medical Mission at San Nicolas Municipal Hall on June 18.
The program was led by the Provincial Veterinary Office headed by Assistant Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Jovito G. Tabarejos, in which he encouraged the pet enthusiasts to be a responsible pet-parents.
“Nais po naming iparating kay Governor Espino ang aming lubos lubos na pasasalamat kasi napakaganda lahat ng mga programa nya, all out po talaga ang suporta para sa lahat. Dito sa San Nicolas, napakarami po ang pet lovers kaya napakalaking tulong po sa amin ito na nadala ng Provincial Gov’t sa pamumuno ni Governor Amado Espino III and looking forward po for more activities like this”. San Nicolas Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez said.
The veterinary medical mission aims to prevent the spread of rabies and to inspire pet owners to be responsible in pet-parenting by giving free services such as (133) deworming, (161) vitamins administration, (107) anti-rabies vaccination, (27) castration of dogs and cats, (18) spaying and consultation. The activity served 446 pets.
The Veterinary Medical Mission visited and provided a free pet services to other municipalities of the province, namely: Labrador, Bautista, San Carlos City, Mangaldan, San Manuel and Calasiao.
Pet owners in San Manuel thanked the provincial government for bringing the program to their town that helps to prevent the spread of rabies and to remind them the importance of responsible pet-parenting.
The Veterinary Medical Mission will benefit all component cities and municipalities in the province to provide a free medical services for pets.
