The Provincial Government of Pangasinan staged the Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan in Umingan on February 22.
The Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan is an integral part of the Abig Pangasinan Program, a brainchild project of Governor Amado I. Espino III, which focuses on helping micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to bounce back from the adverse effects of COVID-19 in their livelihoods.
The program is also an avenue to promote locally-made products such as frozen goods, dried and processed fish products, condiments, woven products, snacks, preserved food and many others.
Products sold at the PYPP Rolling store were bought by the provincial government from the MSMEs and are sold to Pangasinenses at cost selling or wholesale price.
Laoac townsfolk praised the Provincial Government for bringing the innovative program to their town.
“Lubos kaming nagpapasalamat kay Governor Pogi dahil sa programang ito na natutulungan ang ating mga kababayan sa panahon ng pandemya. Salamat at nandito kayo sa aming bayan para matangkilik namin ang sariling atin,” said Ms. Marilou Sarmiento, one of the customers.
The Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan is held beside the municipal hall of Laoac until tomorrow, February 23 from 8:00 am to 5:00pm.
The PYPP is led by the Provincial Population Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office.
