Provincial Government of Pangasinan joins Happy Schools Movement

“Ang Pangasinan ay ang Big Brother ng Region 1 because anything that happens in Pangasinan will surely affect kung ano ang estado ng buong Rehiyon Uno. Ganoon din po kalaki ang obligasyon na naka-atas sa ating mga taga-Pangasinan kapag ang pinag-uusapan ay ang progreso o ang kapakanan ng buong Region 1.”

This was stated by Atty. Nimrod Camba, on-behalf of Gov. Amado I. Espino, III, referring to the importance of Pangasinan and Pangasinenses in the success of the whole region during the Convergence with Stakeholders on Happy Schools Movement held on July 31, 2019 at the Sison Auditorium, Lingayen.

Camba stressed that education is the most important foundation of the nation which is why the Provincial Government of Pangasinan is willing to give its full support to the projects especially in the education sector.

“Hindi po nagpapabaya ang Provincial Government pagdating sa pagtulong sa Department of Education dahil naniniwala tayong iyan ang susi upang mapaunlad pa natin ang ating probinsya,” Camba said. “Saludo ang buong Pangasinan dito sa ginagawang Happy Schools Movement kung kaya’t asahan niyo po ang buong suporta ng lalawigan sa adbokasiyang ito.”

The Happy Schools Movement is a project launched by the Department of Education Ilocos Region to enable create a better school environment for students. This project aims to instill in the minds of students and staff that school is not just a place for learning but also for enjoying and having fun.

This movement is guided by four pillars which are responsive school leadership, relevant classroom instruction, conducive and healthy learning environment, and good governance that increase the positivity of the school culture.

The Convergence with Stakeholders on Happy Schools Movement was attended by students, teaching and non-teaching personnel, superintendents, and officials from the fourteen divisions of Region 1. / Paula Jhea Sison (Photos by Paulo Pantaleon)
