The Provincial Government of Pangasinan brought the rolling store of the Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan which features locally-made products to the town of Bautista on March 15-16.
A part of Governor Amado I. Espino III’s flagship recovery program called Abig Pangasinan, Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan aims to help local businessmen, specifically micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) recover and bounce back from economic loss due to COVID-19.
Through the program, Tatak Pangasinan products including frozen goods like longganisa, buro and tocino, dried and processed fish products, condiments such as bagoong, alamang and spiced vinegar, woven products, snacks and many others are promoted across the province.
Products which are featured in the rolling store are sold at cost-selling or wholesale price.
Bautista Mayor Amadeo T. Espino commended the program for showcasing Tatak Pangasinan products in their town as well as for helping local businessmen during the pandemic.
“Ito ay isang napakagandang programa ng ating Governor na kakabayan din namin para mailapit ang iba’t-ibang produkto sa bayan namin na pwedeng mabili. Malaki ang pasasalamat namin sa programang ito na ginigising ang awareness ng mga tao na possible pala ito,” said Mayor Espino.
Moreover, locals of Bautista also expressed their gratitude to Governor Espino and the Provincial Government for bring the program in their town.
“Ngayon kasi ay pandemic kaya napakalaking bagay na ang programa na mismo ang pumupunta dito. Inilalapit na ang mga produktong Pangasinan. Dito po natin makikita ang pagmamahal ni Governor Espino, ang tulong na naibibigay sa atin ay napakalaki at hindi matutumbasan ng kahit ano,” said one of the customers, Juliet Castillo.
The PYPP program was led by the Provincial Population, Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office (PPCLDO).
