LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Provincial Government of Pangasinan successfully held the 33rd National Children’s Month Provincial Culminating Celebration, bringing together Child Development learners from Districts 1 to 6, along with Child Development Workers, teachers, and parents, for a festive and meaningful gathering aligned with this year’s theme, “OSAEC (Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children) CSAEM (Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Material) WAKASAN: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!”
The celebration which was spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) led by Ms. Annabel T. Roque, highlighted the provincial government’s commitment to advancing the welfare, safety, and rights of every Pangasinense child.
A magic show opened the program, delighting the young participants before the start of the main activities. Various competitions were also held showcasing the innate talents of child learners.
Here are the winners for the different competitions:
SINGING CONTEST
• 1st Place – Austin Craig (LGU Lingayen) – 5,000 pesos cash + certificate
• 2nd Place – John Leo Paet (LGU Urdaneta) – 3,000 pesos cash + certificate
• 3rd Place – Marljade Zamodio (LGU Asingan) – 2,000 pesos cash + certificate
• Consolation – LGU Agno, San Fabian, Calasiao – 1,000 pesos cash each + certificate
DRAW AND TELL CONTEST
• 1st Place – Jiyah Amara Gallardo (LGU Rosales) – 5,000 pesos cash + certificate
• 2nd Place – JM T. Dumaguing (LGU Alcala) – 3,000 pesos cash + certificate
• 3rd Place – Kyleigh Johaida Donato (LGU Lingayen) – 2,000 pesos cash + certificate
• Consolation – LGU Agno, Mapandan, San Jacinto – 1,000 pesos cash each + certificate
ZUMBALILIT DANCE CONTEST
• 1st Place – LGU Rosales – 15,000 pesos cash + certificate
• 2nd Place – LGU Sta. Barbara – 12,000 pesos cash + certificate
• 3rd Place – LGU Pozorrubio – 10,000 pesos cash + certificate
• Consolation – LGU Bolinao, Lingayen, San Fabian – 6,000 pesos cash each + certificate
Adding to the excitement, Jollibee made a surprise appearance, bringing joy to the children who also enjoyed various mini activities such as face painting, free popcorn, ice cream, cotton candy, and several fantasy-themed booths including the Fantasy Carnival, Under the Sea, Safari Adventure, Outer Space, and Enchanted Wonderland booths complete with mascots and costumed characters.
The Provincial Government of Pangasinan, under the leadership of Governor Ramon V. Guico III, continues to strengthen its initiatives and programs dedicated to promoting the overall well-being and rights of every child in the province.
During the program, Provincial Administrator Manuel O. Luis Jr. represented the governor. Other guests included 4th District Board Member Marinor De Guzman and former Board Member now Consultant on Social Services and Community Political Affairs, Ms. Rosary Gracia Perez-Tababa.
