Pangasinan I OIC-SDS vows integrity in public service

“Ang buong kaguruan ng Pangasinan I, iisa lamang ang nais at iyon ay ang mapabuti ang kalagayan ng mga mag-aaral. Ang key result areas ng Department of Education ay access, efficiency, and quality.”

This was stated by Pangasinan I School’s Division Superintendent Officer-in-Charge Ely Ubaldo as she answered the queries of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session about the plans and programs of the SDO1 on June 7.

During the question hour, Ms. Ubaldo revealed that the procurement of more tablets, establishment of one school-based community learning center per legislative district for Alternative Learning System, launching of interactive library, and implementation of performance appraisal system for teachers are underway.

Ms. Ubaldo discussed the accomplishments of the SDO1 since assuming her post last February including creation of the comprehensive scoresheet used by the Personnel Selection Board during ranking and evaluation of applicants for promotion, midyear review of the Office Performance Commitment among school heads, conduct of the First Research Colloquium, Parents-Teachers’ Association Induction Ceremony, and the creation of the Division Technical Assistance Plan submitted to the Regional Office.

Through the programs and projects of the Division Office, Ms. Ubaldo bared that the Pangasinan I Division ranked 4th nationwide in Building Impactful Resume and Professionalism Brand Online for Grade 12 students.

The Pangasinan I Division is currently conducting the registry of qualified applicants for SY 2021-2022. In-line with this, the division also held three batches of online English proficiency test for teacher applicants.

At the end of the school year, Ms. Ubaldo stated that the division office is looking forward to the graduation alternative learning system (ALS) students’ graduation. Portfolio assessment of more than 3,000 ALS completers was also done.

Early-childhood assessment for kindergarten pupils and virtual remedial reading assessment was accomplished.

The SDO-OIC thanked the Provincial Government for its continuous support to the undertakings of the Division Office, citing that LGU-Pangasinan granted 2,944 education tablets for selected Grade 4-6 recipients.

 “On behalf of SDO1-Pangasinan I would like to convey our gratitude from all of us for the continued support of all the members of this body. Maraming salamat po sa walang sawang pagsuporta sa Department of Education,” said Ms. Ubaldo.

Ms. Ubaldo also stated that the thrust for the success of her leadership in the division office is the collaboration and unity of every member.

“I believe that if you lead by good faith and if all of us in the division will be moving forward and think of the good for school children, things will turn out right,” said Ms. Ubaldo.

Board Member Nestor Reyes assured the SDO1 OIC that the Provincial Government of Pangasinan and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan is in full support to the programs and projects of the division office.

“We are your partners and you have our full support. What we want to do is to help because it is our responsibility,” said BM Reyes.

The SP are also well-pleased and congratulated Ms. Ubaldo for her second designation as the OIC of the Pangasinan SDO1.
