LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – It’s all systems go for the much-anticipated Yuletide celebration 2025 at the Capitol! With this year’s theme, “Paskong Ang Galing, Pangasinan Nagniningning,” the celebration promises to be another curtain-raiser event with a kaleidoscope of activities lined-up.
As early as October, the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) has lit the stretch of Maramba Boulevard for a Christmassy vibe and started constructing the giant Christmas tree and Nativity Scene (Belen) at the facade of the majestic Capitol building. The Baywalk area teems with visitors, especially after work and during weekends, who frolic in the Christmas Bazaar and Carnival, which opened last October 24. Food strips also abound in queue offering various foods and delicacies.
Spectators await the Capitol Lighting on October 28 with the awarding of winners for LGUs Parol Making Contest as one of the highlights.
With preparations underway, Pangasinenses are assured of fun-filled activities prepared by different offices of the provincial government such as Zumbayawan sa Kapitolyo with ZINS 2025 and the much-awaited opening of Children’s Christmas Village at Capitol Beach Park on October 29, followed by Fireworks Display.
Sine ed Paskua kicks off on November 30 and will run on December 7, 14, 21 and 28, while Galikin: The Capitol Family Show will run from December 2-4, 9-11, featuring different sectoral team as performers.
The crowd-drawer Kapuso Fiesta will be held on December 5, while Concert at the Gulf will be the event highlight on December 12 with the Capitol bands and on December 26 with Avant Band as lead performers. The nine-day Aligando: The Capitol Simbang Gabi will start on December 15 and end on December 23. The Christmas Eve mass is on December 24, while the grand welcome for the year 2026 will commence with a mass at the Capitol Beach Park on December 31, followed by a Fireworks Display.
Working hand-in-hand with the provincial government are the members of the First Spouses League of Pangasinan led by Governor Ramon V. Guico III’s wife, Mrs. Maan Tuazon Guico, the brains behind the annual Christmas Lighting Fund Raising initiative that started in 2022.
This year’s theme, Paskong Ang Galing: Pangasinan Nagniningning,” embodies the province’s commitment to excellence and a call for volunteerism. It is an initiative that will help brighten the lives of less privileged Pangasinenses.
