Limgas na Pangasinan 2020 search opens

Lingayen, Pangasinan – The search for the next Limgas na Pangasinan, the most prestigious title in the province, is now open.

Screening dates have been scheduled on February 16 (1-5PM) at Buddha Resort in Bugallon (for Western Pangasinan), February 23 (1-5PM) at Lisland Rainforest, Urdaneta City (for Eastern Pangasinan), and February 29 (1-5PM) at Malong building conference room , Capitol Complex, Lingayen (for Central Pangasinan).

Provincial Treasurer Malu Utanes, event chairperson, said: “Limgas na Pangasinan, one of the most anticipated activities of summer revelry Pistay Dayat (Sea Festival), has been an ideal avenue for beautiful and intelligent maidens of the province to discover themselves, enhance their personalities, and develop their character.”

For years, the Limgas na Pangasinan has upgraded its package from a beauty pageant to a spectacle of beauty and culture of the province of Pangasinan). Limgas has also opened opportunities for Pangasinan ladies to represent the province in national, and international beauty searches.

The Limgas na Pangasinan winner takes home Php150,000 cash prize and Php10,000 monthly allowance; Limgas na Turismo (Php100,000 cash prize and Php6,000 monthly allowance); and Limgas na Kalikasan (Php80,000 and Php3,000 monthly allowance). The monthly allowance will be given for 12 months or until crown successors were finally named.

A Limgas hopeful must comply with the following qualifications: single smart and with pleasing personality and good moral character, at least 5’ 5” in height, 18-24 years old (at least junior or high school graduate), and she must be of Pangasinan descent.

Applicants are advised to comply and bring with them the following requirements during the screening: fully accomplished application form, 2 photos (1 whole body, size 3R; and one close up, size 3R), copy of high school or college diploma or certificate of enrolment, photocopy of birth certificate (Philippine Statistics Authority authenticated), barangay clearance, police clearance and cedula, 1 cocktail dress, two-piece swimsuit, and at least (3) three-inch heeled shoes, strictly no make-up.
