The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sison expressed gratitude to the Provincial Government of Pangasinan for bringing Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan (PYPP) in their town on May 20-21.
Representing the LGU, Municipal Councilor Nora Ventura said that the PYPP project is praiseworthy for the reason that local products are brought in their town, thus, there is no need to go to other towns and cities just to buy the products.
Commending the present administration for the project, Councilor Ventura stated that thru PYPP, Pangasinenses are able to discover the different products offered by each town and city in Pangasinan.
PYPP which is a brainchild of Governor Amado I. Espino III, is one of the features of Abig Pangasinan launched to implement social and economic activities to address the urgent concerns of the varied sectors and help them bounce back from financial losses.
Earlier, Provincial Population, Cooperative, and Livelihood Development (PPLD) Officer Ellsworth Gonzales said the PYPP has already generated more than P6 million total sales in all its outings which translate to about P150,000 average sales per stint.
To date, the PYPP rolling store has visited 45 local government units (LGUs) in Pangasinan, including Dagupan City, since its launching last October 2020.
Recently, the rolling store was stationed at the Capitol Grounds for the third time.
Available on display include various Tatak Pangasinan products like bagoong, puto, dried fish, buro, tapa, buri products, peanut brittle and other snack products, among many others.
The next PYPP outing will be held on May 24-25 in Tayug and May 27-28 in Sto. Tomas. (/Ruby R. Bernardino / Photo by MVS)
