The Pangasinan Provincial Government is once again included as one of the 14 finalists in the entire country in the Search for Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) for the year 2021.
The annual search, conducted by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), is focused this year on the theme: “LGUs Innovative Response for the Recovery and Growth of Business.”
On the part of the provincial government, the main project presented was Abig Pangasinan, a recovery program conceptualized by Governor Amado I. Espino III to overcome the ill-effects of the pandemic.
Participated in by some chiefs of office of the provincial government, the panel of judges tossed questions after the presentation of the five-minute pre-recorded video which highlighted the various programs in the Abig Pangasinan.
Aside from Pangasinan, the other 13 finalists include the provinces of Aklan, Bataan, Bohol, Bulacan, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Davao del Norte, la Union, Laguna, Negros Occidental, Palawan, Rizal and Tarlac.
Announcement and conferment of award will be held during the 7th Philippine Business Conference (PBC) on November 18.
