The entire Pangasinan Provincial Government expressed its deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to the bereaved family of the late Malasiqui Municipal Councilor Ildefonso S. Veloria and Alcala Municipal Councilor Reynaldo A. Catalan for their untimely demise.
In its regular session on January 11, the Pangasinan Provincial Board approved Provincial Resolution Nos. 1894-2021 and 1895-2021, respectively, for the said purpose.
Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Sheila Marie S. Perez-Galicia, who read both sponsorship statements noted that both municipal officials served their respective communities with utmost sincerity over the years.
Late Councilor Veloria died last December 24 due to fatal arrhythmia while late councilor Catalan, who is a three-termer councilor, passed away last January 3 at the age of 62 due to cardiac-pulmonary arrest. The latter likewise served for many years serving the people of Brgy. Kisikis of the said town as Barangay Captain.
As such, both resolutions specifically stated that the untimely demise of the councilors will long be remembered and mourned by their constituents whom they had sincerely served for many years.
The integrity and dedication of both municipal officials in their work symbolizes the epitome of true public servants, the resolutions further stated.
Provincial Resolution No. 1894-2021 was sponsored by Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Sheila Marie S. Perez-Galicia, SP Member Vici Ventanilla and SP Member Angel Baniqued, Jr. while Provincial Resolution No. 1895-2021 was authored by SP Member Rosary Gracia P.
