September 20, 2021

Governor Amado I. Espino III led the distribution of the P10.9 million loan assistance with zero percent interest to 64 livelihood groups and one micro, small, medium enterprise or MSME under the Provincial Livelihood Assistance Program held on September 16 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center Gymnasium in Lingayen.

In his message, Governor Espino expressed his gratitude towards the groups, associations, and MSMEs for their continuous patronage, trust, and support to the Livelihood Assistance Program of the Provincial Government.

The Provincial LAP aims to assist entrepreneurs, associations, and cooperatives in Pangasinan to improve and develop their businesses.

Governor Espino reminded the beneficiaries to sustain their livelihood to support their families.

The livelihood assistance distribution held on September 16 is the 4th batch for the calendar year 2021 and the 72nd since the launching of the program in 2008 under the stewardship of former Governor Amado T. Espino Jr. Since 2008, a total of P216.8 million has been allotted for the Provincial LAP.

Provincial Population Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office (PPCLDO) Planning Officer III Alex Sevilla said that the recent livelihood distribution has the highest amount of loan released and has the highest number of beneficiaries which totaled to 2,821 across the province.

“This is the biggest in terms of the beneficiaries since its launching. This is also the batch with the highest total of loan assistance to be released for one batch,” said Mr. Sevilla.

Gov. Espino bared the future plans of the Provincial Government to extend and expand the Provincial LAP to benefit more Pangasinenses.

Espino stated.

The Provincial LAP has a 93% repayment rate.

Gov. Espino also reiterated his call for the unity of Pangasinenses amidst the pandemic.

Espino.

The beneficiaries of the program expressed their gratitude towards the Provincial Government and Governor Espino for the Provincial LAP which supports their livelihood.

Nagpapasalamat kami sa Governor sa programang ito,” said Liza Tamondong of the Tamaro Farmers Association from Bayambang.

Joining Governor Espino during the program held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center Gymnasium, Lingayen were Provincial Population Cooperative and Livelihood Development Officer Ellsworth G. Gonzales and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Emilio P. Samson.
