Lingayen, Pangasinan — The Provincial Convention of Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Officers (LEDIPOs) on November 28, 2025 gathered LEDIPOs from across Pangasinan, placing strong focus on Governor Ramon V. Guico III’s message that sustainable and inclusive economic progress begins with investing in people.
The convention was spearheaded by the Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (PEDIPO), headed by Atty. Raymundo Bautista, who also represented the governor during the event.
In his message, Governor Guico emphasized that the province’s long-term development relies on the well-being, skills, and competitiveness of its citizens, which positions human capital as Pangasinan’s strongest foundation for growth.
The governor stressed that the administration’s efforts to strengthen healthcare services, enhance education and training opportunities, and support MSMEs form a people-centered development strategy designed to boost productivity and innovation.
The convention also provided LEDIPOs with a comprehensive review of the province’s Economic Agenda and Vision, including the introduction of the proposed GUICONOMICS framework also described as a “People-centered Economic Program.”
The event was joined by DTI Representative Joseph Manuel Pamitan and PEDIPO resource persons Engr. Harris De Guzman, Jhoeanica Sibayan, and Teddy Villamil Jr., who provided insights into strengthening local economic and investment promotion efforts across LGUs.
